WALLINGFORD, Conn. (AP) — Police say a car crash in Connecticut led to the discovery of nearly 600 bags of heroin.
Authorities responded to the two-car collision in Wallingford Friday around 2 p.m.
Police determined a 32-year-old woman at the scene was at fault in the crash, and they say she became combative when she was questioned about a bulge in her jacket.
Authorities say several bundles of heroin fell from the woman’s jacket during a struggle with officers. A search revealed 570 bags of heroin hidden in the woman’s sleeves and bra.
The woman has been arrested and charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell and operating under the influence among other offenses.
No injuries were reported in the crash.
