Police responded to a serious crash in Nashua, New Hampshire on Friday that happened after a police chase.

Sky7 was over the scene, where the multi-car crash was seen backing up traffic on the Everett Turnpike northbound near Exit 4.

The crash spanned all lanes of the highway.

State Police said the incident started as a robbery earlier in the day. The suspect allegedly tried to get away from the scene in a car, but then crashed.

Police said a good Samaritan went over to check on the suspect, and then the suspect allegedly stabbed her and stole her car before fleeing.

Police said they found the suspect a short time later, when a chase began.

The chase went into Massachusetts and then returned to New Hampshire.

The chase came to an end on the Turnpike, when the suspect allegedly lost control, hit eight other cars, and was then ejected from the stolen car.

After a brief struggle police arrested the suspect, who was later identified as 31-year-old Jonathan Calvin of Nashua.

Police said three people were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

The Everett Turnpike was closed for about 2 1/2 hours as traffic was diverted off the Exit 4 northbound off-ramp.
