A Missouri police officer had to pull double-duty after a wild chase and crash.
Sunday afternoon, police officer Chris Golubski spotted a green Ford Explorer with a broken rear window.
The driver hit the gas when the officer drove up to him. Shortly after, the car lost control and crashed.
Officer Golubski went up to the car to check on the driver, but he was not inside.
The violent impact of the crash sent the driver flying into a nearby ditch.
Officer Golubski performed CPR and he’s being credited with saving the driver’s life.
A nurse passing by the crash scene with her husband saw the crash and pulled over to help.
Police say it took twenty chest compressions to get the man to respond.
Even after the officer saved him, police say the driver struggled with the officer as they waited for an ambulance.
