BOSTON (WHDH) - Boston police have identified the 46-year-old man who was fatally shot in a convenience store parking lot in Charlestown late Saturday night.
Officers responding to a report of a pedestrian struck on Main Street around 10:30 p.m. found a man on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound, according to Boston police.
The man, later identified as Joseph Donahue, of Charlestown, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Donahue’s friend, Shannon Lundin, described him as someone who never gave up no matter what life threw his way.
“He went through his struggles but he always kept trying and always kept getting back up,” she said. “He would do anything for you.”
