PEABODY, MASS. (WHDH) - Authorities across the state are on the lookout for a man the FBI has nicknames the “Spelling Bee Bandit.”
The man is accused of robbing a number of banks and each time handing misspelled notes to tellers, giving him his nickname.
Police say he has robbed banks in Arlington, Burlington, Peabody, and Reading.
They say each time he has gotten more aggressive.
The suspect is on the state’s most wanted list and police are asking anyone with information on the crimes to call them.
