Police investigate death of woman following house fire in Maine

Associated Press

NEW SHARON, Maine (AP) — Authorities in Maine said Tuesday they’re investigating the death of a woman who was found following a house fire in New Sharon.

Police said they found Shaina Shaylin-Begin, 59, who lived alone in the residence. They said her remains have been taken to the medical examiner’s office in Augusta.

There is no indication of foul play, police said. Police said the fire was called in early Saturday.
