CASTLE HILL, Maine (AP) — Police say two men found dead inside a pickup truck in a tiny town in far northern Maine were the victims of a double homicide.

State police in Maine said Tuesday that they’re still investigating the deaths. They say troopers were called to the scene in Castle Hill just after midnight, and the road has been closed since the early morning.

Police say they aren’t releasing the identities of the men yet. They say the bodies are being transported to the medical examiner’s office for autopsies. The truck is also being towed to a state crime lab for analysis.

Castle Hill is a town of about 400 people just west of Presque Isle in Aroostook County. The county sheriff’s office is assisting state authorities on the investigation.
