BROCKTON, MASS. (WHDH) - Police are investigating a possible murder-suicide after two bodies were found in a Brockton apartment.
Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz said a 61-year-old man killed his 53-year-old girlfriend in their apartment on Mason Street. The man then took his own life.
Cruz said the couple’s landlord did a well-being check after relatives got concerned when one of them did not show up for work. The couple, who were together for decades, did not have any run-ins with police in the past.
Investigators believe the woman was strangled and the man hanged himself. Autopsies will be performed on the two bodies to determine the exact causes of death.
