BOSTON (WHDH) - Police are on scene investigating a bomb threat at Tufts University.

This comes after police and fire responded to a burning car in the rear of 124 Professors Row Monday morning.

In the car, they found a suspicious note stating that there are bombs present in Cabot Hall, Braker Hall, Cohen Auditorium and Tisch.

According to officials, the note made a reference to janitors. It is unclear what that message was, but police are now investigating.

The car fire was extinguished, and the buildings that were threatened have been secured.

All affected buildings have been evacuated and secured.

Medford and Somerville staff have been asked to go home with the exception of essential employees.

Students are asked to stay in their dorms until further notice.

All morning activities, including final exams, have been postponed.
