WORCESTER, MASS. (WHDH) - Police are investigating after a pedestrian crossed against a green light and was struck and injured by a car in Worcester on Saturday morning.
The incident occurred in the area of 648 Main St. about 8 a.m.
A witness said the pedestrian was “sent flying” by the car, later revealed to be a Toyota Corolla, according to police reports.
“I said ‘Stop, the light is green, but he never stopped, he kept walking,” said Teresa Millan.
The man was treated at the scene and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He had crossed Chandler Street against a green light, unseen by the driver of the car, according to police reports.
No one has been charged criminally and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
