BOSTON (WHDH) - Boston police are investigating an attack on a gay couple in Mattapan.
The incident occurred on River Street on September 13.
Two men said they were approached by a group making homophobic comments at them.
Both were attacked, and one was hit in the head with a baseball bat.
Police said no arrests have been made.
“Hate is never tolerated in Boston,” a city spokesperson said in a statement. “Our thoughts go out to the two victims, and we ask anyone with information to contact Boston Police. The BPD Civil Rights Division is investigating this incident thoroughly.”
