BOSTON (WHDH) - Police are investigating after an officer was involved in a crash in Charlestown on Friday night.
The incident, which happened on Rutherford Avenue, left a police cruiser with heavy damage.
The windshield was shattered and the front end of the vehicle was crumpled.
There were no reported injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
