CAMBRIDGE, MASS. (WHDH) - A man was fatally shot in Cambridge early Saturday morning and police are looking for the suspect.

Police responded to 140 Harvard St. just after midnight on Saturday after reports of a shooting. Authorities discovered the victim, 49-year-old Anthony Clay of Cambridge, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Clay was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police said he had been visiting friends at an apartment on Harvard Street. He is survived by his wife and two children.

Cambridge Police are investigating the incident as a homicide in connection with Massachusetts State Police and the Middlesex District Attorney’s office.
