MANCHESTER, N.H. (WHDH) - Police in Manchester are investigating following a shooting early Saturday morning.

At around 5:30 a.m., Manchester Police responded to a 911 call for a report of a man suffering a gunshot wound.

The caller indicated that the man was in the area of the Faucher Block Apartments, on Pearl St.  When police arrived they found the man sitting on the front steps of 138 Pearl St.

The victim appeared to have one gunshot wound to his right leg in the upper thigh area. He wrapped the wound in a towel and had used a belt as a tourniquet.

He was transported to the Elliot Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
