FALL RIVER, MASS. (WHDH) - The body of a boater reported missing in Fall River was discovered early Tuesday morning.

Police located the body of Emerson Belirio shortly after 7 a.m. in South Watuppa Pond.

Fall River Police received a call around 4:45 p.m. Saturday reporting a man overboard in a pond.

The search continued all day Sunday and most of the day Monday.

A preliminary investigation determined Belirio was a passenger on a 20-foot Sea King Cabin Cruiser with his fiance, two children and another married couple.

The boat was somewhere near the center of the lake when Belirio jumped into the water while wearing an unsecured life jacket. He quickly went underwater and did not re-surface.

Foul play is not suspected, nor does it appear alcohol had any role in the incident.
