AVON, Mass. (WHDH) – Police are looking for two men impersonating law enforcement who may be connected with the disappearance of an Avon man.

James Robertson, 37, was last seen getting into a silver Toyota Camry at around 12:50 p.m. on New Years Day.

According to a source at the Norfolk County District Attorney's office, Robertson was met at the door of his home by two guys with guns and badges who took him away.

When he didn't come back, family called the police.

"I can’t believe it’s happening, I'm in shock, they're a nice family I don't know what's happening,” a friend said.

Authorities are releasing limited information about the investigation, but is still asking for the public's help.
