TOLLAND, Conn. (AP) — Authorities say a man has died after crashing his car into a Connecticut home.

The car crashed into the Tolland home at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. The driver was the vehicle’s sole occupant.

Police tells WFSB-TV that 51-year-old Michael Cannizzaro, a Tolland resident, was traveling north when he continued through an intersection and onto the home’s property.

Officials said the home’s foundation was damaged. It was unclear if anyone was inside at the time of impact.

Authorities remained in scene until about 3 am. Thursday.

The crash remains under investigation.
