BOSTON (WHDH) - A man was arrested after police said he threatened two deliverymen bringing a refrigerator to his apartment in Roxbury.

Police said two workers from Lowe’s showed up to drop off the refrigerator at the apartment on Folsom Avenue. Officers told 7News that two men in the apartment got upset because their new refrigerator was not the same size as the old one.

One of the men allegedly pulled out a rifle, which he then pointed and racked at the deliverymen. Police said he then yelled at them to get out of his house.

Officers arrived on the scene just as the two deliverymen ran out of the building. Police searched the house after obtaining a warrant and said they found one loaded rifle, one large frame revolver, one small revolver and two boxes of rounds.

A 48-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon. Police said the suspect had no license or permit for any of the guns or ammunition.

The suspect’s arraignment was postponed so there could be a competency hearing.
