A 19-year-old man is facing charges for allegedly touching three female high school students and trying to lure them to his home on Tuesday morning.

Ahmed Abukar, 19, of Manchester, is facing three counts of sexual assault, criminal threatening and criminal trespassing, according to police. He is also facing two counts of possession of a controlled drug, according to police.

Police say the three Central High School students told them a man accosted them and tried to lure them back to his house as they were walking to school. The students also told police the man groped them.

Police say the students arrived at school safely and reported the incident to school officials.

The school went into secure mode at around 9:30 a.m., police said.

Police say they later located Abukar and found marijuana and heroin on him.

Police say they plan to increase patrols in the area.
