WATERBURY, Conn. (AP) — The week started on a flat note for nearly three dozen Connecticut motorists.
State police say a large piece of metal on a highway was responsible for flattening tires on at least 34 vehicles Monday morning on the ramp from Interstate 84 to Route 8 in Waterbury.
No injuries were reported.
Officials did not immediately provide details about the metal in the road or how it got there. The state Department of Transportation used a front-end loader to remove the object.
