BOSTON (WHDH) - BOSTON (AP) — Boston police say concerned relatives broke into an apartment and found a woman’s body and her three young children, who were in shock but not injured.
Emergency responders were called to the apartment in the Mattapan neighborhood at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Police first thought it was a home invasion because the front door was busted open, but soon learned family members had broken in after not hearing from the woman for some time.
Police Commissioner William Evans says it’s not clear at this point whether the woman had a medical problem or suffered trauma. The woman was in her late 20s. Her name hasn’t been released.
Authorities say all three children appeared to be under the age of 5 and were taken to a hospital as a precaution.
