COLCHESTER, Conn. (AP) — Police have released the name of the man who was stabbed to death outside a Connecticut apartment complex last week.

State police say 42-year-old Joseph Kolodnicki, of Montville, died of his wounds suffered Oct. 30.

Police arrested 38-year-old Elmar Baker and charged him with murder. He is being held on $1 million bail.

State police responding to the Colchester complex found Kolodnicki with stab wounds to his chest and back.

Kolodnicki’s wife told police Baker helped her find a job, and he got into an argument with her husband after she drove Baker to the apartment complex.

Baker told police Kolodnicki hit him in the head twice before the stabbing.

He is due in court Nov. 19. No attorney was listed in public records.
