NEWTON, MASS. (WHDH) - Dozens of police were gathered at a home in Newton early Tuesday morning for reports of a man having a mental health episode.
The incident took place on Washington Street.
A neighbor reported hearing what he believed to be shots fired early Tuesday afternoon.
Newton police said they originally responded to a call for a home invasion around 5 a.m.
Police spent hours investigating, and found no evidence shots were fired.
One man was transported to the hospital after walking into an ambulance, but police did not say why.
Investigators said no charges have been filed.
