DERRY, N.H. (WHDH) - Officials in Derry, New Hampshire say a man who went missing on Dec. 13 is still missing and are asking for the public’s assistance.

Jack Walsh Jr. went missing after leaving the Parkland Medical Center in Derry.

He suffers from early stages of Dementia. His family says he will need medical attention.

Walsh, 63, is a resident of Pleasant Valley Nursing Center. He was last seen wearing a brown leather jacket, gray t-shirt, and jeans. He is approximately 6 feet tall and 139 pounds.

Police have performed extensive searches throughout the region and continue to solicit tips on his whereabouts. Reports of sightings of Walsh in the area have been followed up on but are unconfirmed.

Walsh’s family says he often went on long walks and on at least one occasion he hitchhiked to Brattleboro, Vermont.

Police say it’s possible he sought a ride from someone in the area of Birch Street in Derry.

His family hopes to get the State Police involved. They also urged the public to check sheds, garages, decks or anywhere that Jack could be taking shelter.
