JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (NBC) — Police are searching for a man who allegedly abducted a pizza delivery driver in Jacksonville, Florida.
Police officials said the suspect abducted the female driver after luring her to an abandoned home in the city’s west side.
He then allegedly pointed a rifle at the victims and forced her into the trunk of her own vehicle.
Police said the suspect told the victim he needed her vehicle to go kill someone in Lake City, Florida.
While driving west bound on I-10, officials said the victim pulled the emergency trunk release handle and jumped out of the vehicle onto the highway.
The victim’s condition is unknown at his time.
Police are still searching for the suspect. He’s believed to be driving a gray 2007 Mazda MX-3 with Florida tags.
