A robbery suspect is on the run after a woman said she found him ransacking her home in Derry, New Hampshire.

Tania Torres said she and her three children entered their house on Mitchell Avenue and noticed things in disarray. Torres said a television had been pulled off the wall and video game consoles had been scattered on the floor.

Moments later, Torres saw a strange man walking down her stairs. She yelled at him and he immediately ran out the house’s back door to a getaway car that was waiting across the street.

Torres fled the house with her children and called police. Home surveillance cameras captured the man in action and she said she hopes it will lead to an arrest.

Police believe the man got in through the back door. They’ve dusted for fingerprints and will continue to investigate.

"Do I feel completely safe? No, I don’t. Especially because it’s still fresh in my mind," said Torres. "I’m hoping over the next few days I can get back that sense of safety."
