METHUEN, MASS. (WHDH) - The Essex District Attorney’s office has identified the Metheun woman who was found unresponsive and later died as Wanda Rosa, 29.

Officials have begun searching for Emilio Delarosa, 32 of Lawrence.

Police said the victim and Delarosa have a child together.

Investigators said it looks like she was strangled to death.

At 5:45 a.m. Monday, Methuen Police conducted a well-being check at a local residence on Tudor Street.

After making a forced entry, they located an unresponsive adult woman, now identified as Rosa.

She was transported to Holy Family Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police said their 4-year-old child was was in the home during the incident.

He was taken to a relative’s home.

According to police, Rosa had a lifetime restraining order against Delarosa.

Police have asked anyone with information on Delarosa’s whereabouts to call police at 978-983-8698.
