EPPING, N.H. (AP) — State police say they’re searching for a wanted Manchester man who fled a traffic stop and led officers on a chase in New Hampshire.

Police say Epping officers stopped 28-year-old David Cherry for speeding on Route 125 around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. Police then learned Cherry had an active warrant for second-degree assault out of Manchester.

Police say Cherry fled after officers tried to get him out of the vehicle. They say officers set up spike strips that punctured one of the car’s tires before the chase continued onto Interstate 93 northbound in the Manchester area.

Cherry allegedly turned into the wrong lane, hit another vehicle and fled on foot. Two passengers in Cherry’s car and a person in the other vehicle were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
