BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Burlington police say they are seeking a suspect in a shooting not far from the downtown of the Vermont city that left a man in critical condition.
Police say they received a report just before 9 a.m. Sunday that a man had been shot in the head on Clarke Street.
Responding officers found that 28-year-old Khyann Jones had been shot in the head. He was later reported to be in critical condition at the University of Vermont Medical Center.
Police are now seeking 37-year-old Alfred L. Wisher, also known as “Wish Kid,” after witnesses identified him as the suspect in the shooting.
Police say the shooting took place after Jones and Wisher had a brief exchange of words.
They consider Wisher armed and dangerous.
