EAST HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Authorities say two police cruisers, multiple cars and a home were damaged during a police chase in Connecticut.
Police say the chase began around 1:40 a.m. Sunday in East Haven after officers responded to a report of suspicious vehicles in the area.
When officers arrived, a teen driving a stolen Mazda SUV tried to flee the scene and hit two parked cars and a house in the process. The teen then tried to flee on foot, but police captured the suspect in the damaged home’s driveway.
Police say two officers collided with each other while responding to the chase, but no one was injured.
The unidentified teen has been charged with larceny, engaging police in pursuit and reckless driving among other offenses.
