A New Hampshire lawmaker and Trump adviser is coming under fire after threatening Hillary Clinton, and now the secret service is investigating.
What started with a radio interview with WRKO, turned into a line of questioning to Al Baldasaro.
Baldasaro serves on Trump’s veterans coalition and is serving as one of his delegates at the Republican Convention.
During his appearance on WRKO Radio, Baldasaro had choice words about the way Hillary Clinton handled the Benghazi attack.
“In my mind, I wanna know, I wanna think, were they moving guns? Were they doing something there? Why, how did they know he was even there? This whole thing disgusts me. Hillary Clinton should be put in a firing line and shot for treason,” said Baldasaro.
In wake of those comments, the Secret Service responded by saying it will conduct an appropriate investigation.
Baldasaro has not backed down from his comments. He tweeted, “Thank you to my fellow Veterans for the many calls of support I received on my comments today speaking as a Veteran. Ooh Rah! Semper Fi.”
Clinton’s campaign also released a statement saying that Baldasaro’s threat is another example of the dangerous rhetoric that Trump has promoted.
