The president of Mali visited the U.S. Embassy Saturday to pay tribute to the American woman who was killed during the recent attack on a luxury hotel in the country’s capital.     
He met with the U.S. ambassador to Mali, Paul Folmsbee, during the visit.
Massachusetts native Anita Datar was among the 20 killed when heavily armed Islamic extremists seized several hostages at a Radisson Hotel.
Datar was working for the American Agency for International Development at the time of the attack.
