BOSTON (AP) — Dozens of boisterous protesters have gathered outside a downtown Boston hotel where Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump is holding a fundraiser.
Demonstrators are chanting “Dump Trump!” and waving signs reading “You’re Funding Bigotry” outside the Langham Hotel in Boston’s Financial District.
U.S. Rep. Michael Capuano, a Massachusetts Democrat, and Boston City Councilor Ayanna Pressley addressed the protesters.
Security was heavy in the neighborhood, and police reported no unrest or arrests.
Trump was in Boston to speak to supporters at the $2,700-a-plate midday fundraiser before heading to Bangor, Maine, for a campaign event later Wednesday.
