PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WHDH) - A Providence Police Officer is under investigation after video appeared showing him assaulting a suspect.
In the video you can see the officer dragging the woman by her hair and punching her.
Police were called to the home after two women broke into a house.
The woman initially bit and punched the officer while resisting arrest, said police.
The other woman allegedly jumped on the officer’s back.
The mayor called for an investigation into the incident.
