HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Organizers of a veteran's memorial being built in Hartford that will feature a walkway of granite engraved pavers are inviting the public to buy the permanent markers.

The memorial is expected to be finished by the end of the year in Minuteman Park across from the Legislative Office Building.

The cost of an engraved paver is $150. Each paver can be engraved with the name of a veteran, rank, branch of the military and years of service and conflict, if desired.

Connecticut towns and cities also can purchase pavers.

Order forms are available at www.cthonorsvets.org or by calling 860-616-3603.

The memorial will honor the more than 1.3 million Connecticut citizens who served the country and will be a site for official observances, activities, and ceremonies that honor veterans.
