The public will get a chance to weigh on the so-called "Rattlesnake Island" plan in the Quabbin Reservoir.
The public meeting will be held tomorrow night at 7 p.m. at Mahar Regional High School in Orange.
The plan calls for venomous Timber rattlesnakes to be put on a remote island in the reservoir so they can repopulate.
Officials say there’s no worries about the snakes escaping because they probably wouldn’t survive the swim to shore.
