It’s a twist on the traditional summer road trip, where the biggest argument is probably over who gets to stick their head out the window. 

The passengers are puppies, and the home isn’t a place they are trying to escape, it’s a place they are trying to find. 

Five puppies and three adult dogs are making the 600-mile trek from California to Westchester, New York. 

An elaborate caravan of volunteers spent their Saturday transporting dogs to their final destination, the Westchester SPCA, a no-kill shelter were their
chances of being adopted are much higher. 

The newest arrivals have foster parents ready to take them in until they are ready for adoption.
