Tough loss last night… certainly feeling a little sluggish and disappointed walking out the door morning.  At least Mother Nature is on our side for now.  With sunshine and little wind today, it’ll be a comfortably cool, seasonable late January afternoon with temps running in the mid to upper 30s.  Great afternoon for kids to hit the sledding hills or ski lessons after school.

For those of you hoping to melt some of that snow off the roof and around the house, we can do that too.  Tomorrow the temps run well into the 40s. Even a few towns over Southeast Mass near 50.  Any early sun fades behind clouds and it does turn breezy.  A passing shower or two is possible, but more likely to see a couple showers at night.

Wednesday and Thursday look a bit colder again, but dry.

Thursday night and Friday morning…. we’ll watch a storm develop off the Carolina coastline and race north, northeast.  There’s some question on the timing and position of this storm, and whether it can get it’s act together in time and close enough to the New England coastline to impact our forecast.  Right now, we’ll keep the bulk of the storm offshore, but a more western track could bring in more snow and wind if it were to occur.

The weekend looks rather quiet as of now.
