A man was killed in a car crash on Monday morning.
At around 10:18 a.m., officers responded to a report of car crash on Chief Justin Cushing Highway at the intersection of Kilby Street, police said.
Officers found two victims trapped inside a Ford pickup truck, according to police. Both victims were taken to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth.
Police say the 51-year-old Quincy man who was driving the truck died at the hospital. The man had been partially ejected from the truck.
The 61-year-old Quincy man who was a passenger in the truck suffered life-threatening injuries and was later taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
Police say the two men were not wearing seat belts.
The 43-year-old Marshfield woman who was driving a Nissan involved in the crash suffered minor injuries, according to police. She declined to be taken to a hospital, police said.
Police say the truck was driving north on Kilby Street and turned on to the Cushing highway and into the path of the Nissan that was going west.
The Nissan hit the passenger side of the truck and spun the truck onto its passenger side, according to police. The Nissan went onto the side of road and into a fence, police said.
