CONCORD, Mass. (AP) — A Massachusetts man charged with attempted murder for allegedly poisoning another man's iced coffee is due in court for a dangerousness hearing.

William Camuti of Sudbury is scheduled to appear in Concord District Court on Tuesday.

The 69-year-old Camuti has been jailed without bail since pleading not guilty in August to charges related to Stephen Rakes' death.

Rakes was a 59-year-old Quincy man who met with Camuti right after finding out he wouldn't get to testify against Boston mob boss James "Whitey" Bulger.

Prosecutors allege Camuti owed Rakes money and put potassium cyanide in his coffee before driving him around and dumping his body in the woods in July.

Authorities say Camuti acted alone when he lured Rakes to the meeting with talk of a fake real estate deal.
