2015 was a year full of celebratory moments, tragic events, and everything in between. With the final days of December approaching, the online real estate company Estately has published this year’s most popular Google searches by state.

For Massachusetts, the No. 1 search was for Charlie Hebdo, the French satirical magazine that was attacked by terrorists in January.

Other popular searches for the state included opioid addiction and dependence, the Republican primary, and “dad bod.”

In New Hampshire, Deflategate took the No. 1 spot, followed by heroin and the Paris terror attacks. New Hampshire’s Google trends reflected the influx of presidential candidates criss-crossing the state, including Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, and Carly Fiorina.

Rhode Island’s Google trends were largely focused on celebrities, with Adele, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber being some of the most searched.

A common search among several states was the “Blood Moon Prophecy”, which is a series of apocalyptic beliefs about the end of the world.

Some unique number one searches across the country included the Ashley Madison hack for Louisiana, same-sex marriage for Alabama, and “What does bae mean?” for Wisconsin.
