Perdue Foods has recalled 4,530 pounds of chicken nuggets the company says could be contaminated with plastic materials, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Included in the recall are Applegate Naturals Chicken Nuggets manufactured on Sept. 28, 2015.
Impacted items include:
8 oz. packages containing 18 pieces with a Best Before date of Sept, 27, 2016.
The impacted items were sent to stores in Massachusetts, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Pennsylvania, New York and Texas.
The USDA says consumers complained of small, solid, clear plastic inside the nuggets.
The USDA says impacted items should be discarded and not consumed.
There have been no reports of adverse reactions from consuming the impacted items, according to the USDA.
