Recovery—whether from an intense workout or a terrible joke—is important in this galaxy. It’s chilly right now with early morning temps down into the 30s & 40s, numbers we haven’t see since…..Monday.
The difference though is Monday’s high temp was 67 in metro Boston and today it will only be around 57. Much much cooler afternoon on tap and that’s a sign of fall right there. A bonafide arctic airmass where the sun struggles to slice through it and warm things up. A sign of things to come–just not this weekend.
The weekend sees a return to summer once we shake a chilly Saturday morning (30s/40s) as the thermometer on Saturday climbs to 70 by afternoon under a mostly sunny sky. Just about epic for any outdoor activity. Sunday is a humid day–quite the turnaround when compared to today. Sunday will also feature more clouds but despite more clouds, it’s rain-free. Temps on Sunday reach the upper 70s & some even near 80. Warm & humid for NASCAR, apple picking and of course the home opener down at Gillette.
We need rain—big time as we are running 3-6″ deficits across southern New England since June. Unfortunately, our dry pattern looks to hold for a few more weeks across the northeast.
Enjoy your weekend!
