Regal Cinemas is now issuing bag checks at their nationwide locations.
Their full policy acknowledge the procedure may be an inconvenience for movie-goers, but they hope to increase safety.
The new security procedure comes after recent movie theater tragedies in Louisiana, Tennessee and Colorado.
