BOSTON (WHDH) - Massachusetts Congressman Joe Kennedy III will be speaking at the Democratic National Convention next week, introducing Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
Kennedy said he is excited to speak about Warren, calling it a “great opportunity.” Warren happens to be Kennedy’s former Harvard Law School professor. Kennedy said the DNC next week will be very different from the Republican National Convention.
“The joking aside, I think what we’ve seen out of the last several days in Cleveland is a party that is fractured,” said Kennedy.
Boston Mayor Marty Walsh will also be in Philadelphia to speak at the convention on Monday. As for Hillary Clinton, Democratic insiders said she is finalizing her choice for a running mate and will make the announcement either Friday or Saturday in Florida. Top contenders include Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack.
