(WHDH) — Apple is reportedly admitting to slowing down older iPhones, but the company says they have a good reason.
Apple said older batteries can cause iPhones to shut down without warning.
Reports said the company has created software that intentionally slows down devices to keep the batteries functional.
Forbes magazine said the iPhone SE, 6, 6S and 7 are all impacted.
