CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Paramedics say no one appears to have been hurt after a report of a shooting at a North Carolina mall.

Charlotte Medic said in a news release that its paramedics were called to Northlake Mall in Charlotte about 3:30 p.m. Monday after emergency calls about shots fired.

The ambulance company reported about 30 minutes later it had no patients and were leaving the area.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police didn’t immediately release any information about the incident.

On Christmas Eve, a shopper was shot and killed by an off-duty police officer at the mall after getting into a fight, then pointing a gun at the officer. Prosecutors ruled the shooting was justified.
