LOWELL, MASS. (WHDH) -
A reptile spotted in Lowell over the weekend is not an alligator.
It is a Smooth-fronted Caiman, said experts.
People get Caimans confused with alligators because they are in the same family and are similar in appearance.
It is still unclear where the animal came from.
