Revere Police are searching for two people in connection with a police cruiser crash in Chelsea on Thursday.

Police are searching for a late model, 2 door Honda Accord with a Massachusetts plate, "833TK1."

The car has rear end damage, according to police.

Police say a man identified as Michael Gouthro is driving the car. Police say Gouthro may be with a woman identified as Jacqueline Murphy.

The incident began on Thursday morning when an officer was dispatched to a report of a suspicious person in a car on Park Avenue at around 8 a.m.

The officer chased the suspect by car before the cruiser crashed into a telephone pole on Marginal Street in Chelsea.

Gouthro allegedly attempted to stab an officer with syringe, police said.

Police say Gouthro has four outstanding warrants from various police departments.

Murphy has one outstanding warrant, according to police.

Police say they have been looking for the pair for more than a week.

The officer was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with serious injuries, but is expected to be OK.
