PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — A Rhode Island man who repeatedly coerced a minor into engaging in sexually explicit conduct, which he photographed and recorded, and who also distributed child pornography has been sentenced to 180 years in prison.

Federal prosecutors in a statement Monday said 41-year-old Jay Gaccione, of Westerly, was sentenced Friday.

He pleaded guilty in November to multiple counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and child pornography charges.

Authorities say the victim was exploited while between the ages of 12 and 14. The crimes were discovered when several electronic and digital storage devices were seized during a court-authorized search of Gaccione’s home in November 2016.
